About Weidmuller

The company was founded by a Carl August Weidmullerin the early 1850s. It started as a textiler, but after working with a development engineer Wilhelm Staffel from AEG Aktiengesellschaft (once one of the world's largest consumer electronics corporations), the company was able to produce the first electrical engineering terminal for AEG in Berlin.  A manufacturer of electronics and electrical connectors, Weidmuller is a company focused on the distribution and production of electrical components for over 80 countries. Many of their products consist of energy generation, mechanical engineering, process industry, renewable energy, device manufacturing, and more. They’ve since developed a "switchgear assembly clamp" (SAK). Lately, the Weidmuller company has evolved  into becoming a supplier and producer of automating systems.
